Metallics have been on the rise in popularity in event design for a number of years.  They are super versatile and can be used by themselves, or as accents for many color palettes. In 2018 we saw mixed metals continue to be a hot design trend and while we don’t see that changing this year, we are also seeing designers warm up this trend with warm metallic hues.

Pantone has announced it’s color of 2019 is a bright, sunny, pinky-orange named ‘Living Coral’. A cheery tone that’s perfect for summer, beach-side events and weddings.  Coral is a fantastic hue to incorporate into your color scheme, via everything from coral colored linen, flowers, paper details and so much more.

Digging into the past for event design inspiration is going to be huge in 2019.  Anything from prints inspired by the 70’s to gold gilded Art-Deco accents, designers will be embracing retro style in their color palettes and design themes.

Paired with personal, eclectic touches, the minimalist trend is a response to the over the top look of the boho era.  What do you need to know about this trend?
